/Slacktivism (sometimes slactivism or slackervism)/
Is it too late for a light weight trench?Iridescent has been the color of the season lately, from highlighters to trenches it’s been ruling the stage. The color is a thing of dreams I tell you. While this unicorn color has been ruling the fashion scenes for a while now, I have been busy charting my planner for the next season, finalizing colors and the patterns for the next season. While I was caught up in planning, I feel the beginning of the year is almost vanished the end of the March already?Where did the starting of the year go?
The internet is going at slacktivism at stellar speed.Slacktivism means the actions performed via the Internet in support of a political or social cause but regarded as requiring little time or involvement, e.g. signing an online petition or joining a campaign group on a social media website or application. While internet is not a place which is dire for ideas, what slacktivism gave birth is the sudden rise of individuals who had strong command over their views on the world. These micro movements created a bigger ripple across the cyber space with massive millennial following bandwagon.Though insignificant it seems to be, this gave rise to what we call today as slacktivism, in literal terms it means you can protest over something sitting in your bedroom..The online space now carries a lot of credibility for these individuals, which they have build over vocalizing there concerns about the causes they care. While it may be radically different from the yesteryear protestors, it has bought about considerable changes in the landscape.Because now information can spread at the speed of light through social media.
Slacktivism or not let’s make the world a better place.
